Established in 2004, the Technology Research Center of Lizhong Alloy Group now has more than 70 professional R&D personnel. Hebei Light Metal Alloy Material Industry Technology Research Institute and 4 provincial material and testing technology centers have been established. The Technology Research Center of Lizhong Alloy Group has passed the ISO/IEC17025 national laboratory certification, and has established long-term cooperation with many universities and research institutes at home and abroad. He presided over and participated in the drafting of 21 national and industrial standards, undertook the national "863" project, national international scientific and technological cooperation projects, obtained more than 260 national patents, more than 100 scientific and technological achievements and more than 30 technical copyrights, and his comprehensive R&D strength is in the leading position in the industry. R&D platform
Lizhong Alloy Technology Research Center has a professional R&D team of more than 70 people, and has the R&D capability of various cast aluminum alloys, deformed aluminum alloys and aluminum alloy spectral analysis standard samples. The center has more than 200 sets of advanced industrial CT machines, scanning electron microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, research grade metallographic microscopes, metal material bending fatigue testing machines, aluminum slag detectors and other analytical testing instruments and equipment. Have the ability to detect and analyze the chemical composition of aluminum alloy materials in constant and micro quantities; Mechanical property, physical property and casting property test of alloy materials; Analysis and research on microstructure, phase composition, defects and casting failure of alloy materials; The ability of non-destructive testing of alloy materials and testing and analysis of melt purity such as inclusion and hydrogen content can meet the requirements of research, development, testing, analysis, test and trial production projects of various aluminum alloys.
The main scientific research tasks of the Center are

In 1993, it was the first company in China to develop high-purity A356.2 aluminum alloy, which filled the domestic gap, replaced imports, and obtained the National New Product Certificate, making contributions to the development of aluminum alloy and aluminum alloy wheels in China.

In 2003, the "long-distance direct supply technology for aluminum alloy liquid" was successfully developed, which filled the gap in the domestic industry and reduced investment, energy consumption and metal loss for users.

In 2004, the research and development of special aluminum alloy materials for forged wheels was successful, and it became the only supplier of a famous wheel company, making contributions to the development of China's forged aluminum alloy wheel industry.

In 2010, the research and development of High Strength, High Toughness and Corrosion Resistant Cast Aluminum Alloy LZ.XK360 was successful, and it became the designated product supplier of a world famous ship manufacturer.

In 2012, the research and development of "automatic melting aluminum iron separation furnace for recycled aluminum" was successful. The furnace group has 49 patented technologies and was listed in the Catalogue of Advanced and Applicable Technologies and Equipment for Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Resources issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

In 2020, the research and development of high strength and toughness die-casting aluminum alloy without solution and aging treatment was successful, and the invention patent (ZL 2020 1 0018461.7) was obtained. This alloy is suitable for new energy vehicle battery case, door frame structure, rear longitudinal beam and other products, and is favored by the market.

In 2021, the research and development of aluminum alloy for ultra-high thermal conductivity die casting was successful, and the thermal conductivity index reached 200W/(m.K). The product is mainly used in 5G communication, electronics, new energy vehicles and other fields.

In 2021, nine brands of cast aluminum alloy spectral analysis standard samples were successfully developed, and obtained the qualification of "developing and producing national standard samples" from the National Standards Committee.

In 2021, the "low-carbon A356 alloy" produced by 75% recycled aluminum will be successfully developed. The wheels produced by low-carbon A356 aluminum alloy have passed the verification of a world famous automobile manufacturer, and become the exclusive supporting supplier designated by Lizhong Wheel Group and CITIC Daika, realizing low-carbon green manufacturing of aluminum alloy wheels.
