On January 22, 2015, the Department of Science and Technology of Hebei Province organized experts to evaluate the performance of the construction of Hebei Light Metal Alloy Materials Industry Technology Research Institute, which is based on Hebei Lizhong Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd. The expert group reviewed the evaluation report, supporting materials, visited the site of the Institute, and conducted on-site inquiry and defense. According to the expert evaluation opinions, the Institute passed the evaluation successfully. According to the evaluation result announcement of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology on March 1, a total of 10 research institutes participated in the evaluation. After expert evaluation and confirmation by the Department of Science and Technology, a total of 5 research institutes were evaluated as excellent, 4 qualified, and 1 rectified. Hebei Light Metal Alloy Materials Industry Technology Research Institute was evaluated as excellent, and received a subsidy of 1 million yuan.

The evaluation system of the research institute includes: according to the functional orientation of the research institute, the performance evaluation index system of the provincial industrial technology research institute includes: integration of innovative resources (technology, talents, funds, etc.), scientific research conditions and facilities (research and development sites and equipment, analysis and testing facilities, etc.), organization and operation management (system innovation, mechanism innovation, etc.) The functions of the research institute are realized (research and development of common key technologies, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, public technology services, collection and use of scientific and technological funds, etc.). Among them, the weight of the realization of the functions of the research institute (i.e. technical innovation and technical service performance effect) is 60%.

Hebei Institute of Light Metal Alloy Materials Industry Technology was established in 2013, supported by Hebei Lizhong Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd., and co founded by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, and Hebei Sitong New Metal Materials Co., Ltd. Since its establishment, the Institute has actively cooperated with many parties, making positive contributions to the industrial and technological progress of nonferrous metals in Hebei Province.
